WAY TO GO HAIKU APP_SERVER TEAM!
Was just over at darkwyrm’s website checking up on the public posting of news about the status of the app_server. I’m on the app_server mailing list, and have the intention to help with it someday… but right now I’m a bit tied up with other things on my plate. I have a way of doing that… jumping from project to project… It’s a bit of a bad habbit, but it keeps life interresting.
Seriously, this is huge in terms of accomplishment.
I only hope that darkwyrm held a little celebration when it first worked, the way I had a little party when AWT first initialized, and when we first got BWindows on the screen. I think I woke up the neighboors for the latter.
I read down a bit on darkwyrms page, and must say: I agree completely with his view on WalterCon. It was great. I tell ya, these BeOS folks are truely great. I’m looking more and more forward to getting back into the java dev that I’ve let stagnate for a bit too long… a couple weeks and I have another short vacation. I’ve found airports, planes, and layovers to be excellent places to hack some quick changes and work on specing out large sub-projects. *cough* …like the one I’ve been “documenting” slowly but surely for the last month and a half.
Update: I’m mirroring the screenshot.

So what’s that Java sub-project you’re working on?
And why aren’t you working more on it?! :D

Thanks for mirroring the shot. Not much to look at unless you know how huge a milestone it is.
