The focus subsystem is to blame. This can (and certainly will) be fixed… I’m on it now.
Apparently, we’re missing a good deal of focus-related events being fired. The creation and display of a Frame should result in 5 events being fired. Our BeOS implementation only has 2 right now whoops!
