I totally missed Waltercon this year. I was busy at home, and frankly didn’t have the time / money this year to go.
If the project I’m on at work would have finished prior to last weekend, there was a chance I could have gone.

You’re not hallucinating. I really did build a fold-up (literally) workbench. It’s 7′x2′, 2′ off the ground (perfect for long, sitting projects, or holding other tools like a table saw or router table), and folds up to less than 6″ thick hanging on the wall. Kylene had a friend over today to study for an exam. She’s basically spending more and more time over at the house. Most of her cooking stuff is over here now, and there’s more room for study groups, etc.
