It’s not the great room, but…
Kylene had a friend over today to study for an exam. She’s basically spending more and more time over at the house. Most of her cooking stuff is over here now, and there’s more room for study groups, etc.
So while they were studying, I retreated to the comfort of my garage… which was a mess.
Yesterday I restacked the Pergo boxes so that I could squish all the empty moving boxes (those will be used in the next two months) behind them. Then I put some things that had been set on that side of the garage into the attic. Over all I freed up several inches (about 7 or 8) of walking space on that side of the garage when the car is in. I also polyurethaned the second side of the bathroom door on Saturday, then I rigged a little dust sheild out of a couple 2×4’s, the saw horses, and some old double bed size sheets.
I was able to work in the garage (and make a dusty mess) without having to worry about the door getting screwed up. It worked!
So this afternoon I cleaned up the garage. I got a lot done. The old attic ladder is dismantled, and the parts I don’t want are ready to hit the curb. Come to think of it, there’s a lot of stuff that’s about ready to hit the curb when the next heavy trash pickup day comes around. I think it might even be this week. That would be nice.
