How to start an expensive hobby cheaply and effeciently.

Wood Working on the Cheap is a new venture that I’m going to start putting a little bit of time into.

I’m already tracking my progress, keeping receipts, and doing all of this anyway, so I figured I might as well publish the things I’ve learned along the way.

My personal goal is to be able to build fine furniture and other high-quality wood things cheaply. It can be done. I’m a firm believer that you don’t need a $500 table saw fence to get the job done. I don’t think tools like that pay for themselves. They might, but I’m a skeptic.

So until the trade shows advertisers, aftermarket shop equipment suppliers, and tool vendors convince me otherwise, I’m going to try and help other people start out with basic tools and produce phenominal results.
