Transmission 0.6.2 (development) for BeOS!
So I sat down tonight and did some recreational coding. This is the first time in a long time. I really do miss this…
The results are a now up-to-date and building Transmission for BeOS from the current trunk. I’m in the process of getting my svn developer access going again, so I haven’t been able to commit this to the trunk yet — but it will be taken care of in the next day or so.
Until then enjoy this:
Enjoy!
Update: As of (2/22/2007 9:00AM EST) I’ve committed all my changes to the trunk on Transmissions SVN. Read how to get / build transmission on the Transmission development page.

I might have to check out BeOS again and install it on qemu. :P

Nice to see an update Bryan. I recently switched to mac, and I am of course using transmission there. Only for legal stuff of course :)
Will you mimic the look on apple (buttons bar etc)?
I love one applications look the same on several platform. If you think its to much work I would gladly help you.
/Konrad – who recently got a hunger for developing for BeOS once again.

Konrad – AGMS is currently making some GUI changes, that I think will bring Transmission more in-line with the other platforms. He was also doing a lot of the refactoring that I tackled in this release, brining GUI up to date with the new libransmission.
Once he gets his changes in to me and I check them in, we’ll see what else needs done.
Yes, the long term goal is to have the BeOS GUI up to par with the other platforms.
It could be a while before AGMS gets his changes finished though, as he’s currently in about the situation I was getting into last year with a gf and all. :-) It seems it’s contagious.

It might be a good idea to create the download directory on application startup. Currently, if the folder is missing, downloads simply -pause-, and no information or error message is given.
An even minor detail: one might want to bump the version info, in resources and in the About window.
In any case, thank you very much, Bryan, for getting Transmission back on track! :)

Or should I say, back in gear? :-)

The .rsrc file in SVN seems to be corrupt. I cannot edit it on my R5 box.
I’m not sure if someone tweked it with a Zeta machine or what, but it’ll take a full rebuild of that file in order to bump the version info properly.
I’ll get to it… eventually.

Hi,
I updated my old patch to transmission 0.5 to add Zeta Locale.
If you want to add it to svn, it’s included in my last build.
