JavaShare 2.1 alpha 2 Mac OS X build

I took a few minutes tonight to make a build of an old JavaShare jar… the 2.1 alpha 2 jar that was up on the javashare.org site before I pretty much abandoned JavaShare.

The old 2.0 Mac OS X build was doing division by zero errors when trying to calculate the load for users. This was fixed in the 2.1a2 build, along with a host of other bugs… but I never repackaged it for OS X.

I don’t have the sourcecode right now… I’m sure it’s around here somewhere… So I basically ripped the interesting bits out of the old MacOS build, and used the latest MRJ toolchain to build a new application bundle around the 2.1a2 jar and the old icns and plist files.

The result is a JavaShare that actually seems to run on Mac OS X 10.4.8 with the latest java runtime updates. Yay!

It’s worth noting that this is a Universal Binary. :-D

Here’s the download link.
