The yearly sinus infection has arrived!

It arrived last week, but I managed to fight the worst of it off until Saturday. This weekend was bad, it migrated from my sinus to my trachea.

I have a very raspy voice, it sounds like I smoke about five packs a day, and have for twenty years.

I’m now hacking out gloriously thick mucus from my vocal chords. The greenish chunky gummy bears apparently bind to them, making my voice crack worse than puberty.

On the bright side, after a few days of mucinex and sudafed, I’m getting back to normal now. My glands no longer hurt at the base of my neck, so I think I might about have this one licked. Every year it seems I go to the doctor for this, and every year they tell me “decongestants, plenty of fluid, and rest.” They rarely give me antibiotics for this, so I figured this year I’d put off the doctor visit until I -really- had to go. So far, it looks like this may have been a good call.

I haven’t gotten jack squat done on the doors (sanding and or working with fumes would probably be a -very-bad-idea-, even with the proper masks) this week, but I should be able to make quick work out of them when I get better. I have a Christmas present to make too.
