Doors in progress!
Last night I finished the rack for spraying doors. I can fit two 26″ doors side-by-side on the tilting rack, spray near vertical, then flip the rack horizontal to dry without runs. It’s beautiful. I also seem to have really finally got the knack with the HVLP sprayer. The first coat on the 18″ kitchen pantry door came out beautifully. I’ve already hit it with the steel wool, and later tonight I’ll probably go out and spray the first coat on the other side. I was hoping I could build the rack to handle both sides at once, but I just don’t see how I could without risking serious damage to the doors.
It’s been a long (but short) week. I’ve been busy, and sick, and busy… I’m still not 100%, but I’m healthy enough that with the masks I have for sanding and spraying I feel comfortable making some dust.
