Amongst the nine remaining doors to be finished and installed, I’ve now got about 21 board feet of gorgeous poplar in the garage.

This stuff is going to turn into good sized glued-up panels, and then transform into Elin’s Christmas gift for the year.

Eventually, we’ll be doing this for other family members as well.

As a total aside: Sherwin Williams really ticked me off yesterday. Their chemical coatings division (which claims to be purely B2B) were real jerks to a little guy like me. If you’re not going to be a constant repeat customer with a tax ID, they’re just rude. So now the question is, how is a guy like me supposed to get their hands on a bucket of white CAB lacquer at a decent price? *grumble*
