It looks so different.

All the pre-hung, six-panel, solid-core pine interior doors are in. With brushed chrome and nickel lock sets and hinges.

Holy cow. It looks so different.

I have three, 30″ bi-fold doors left to finish. I’ll start sanding those tonight. I should be able to finish one and a half (they’re two 15″ sections per door) of those this week, and the other three sections next week.

Then I need to make door jambs for those (like I did with the laundry closet), and get them installed. It looks like I’ll be done with the doors a week before the end of August. Which puts me (right now) one week ahead of where I thought I would be, even though I forgot to account for vacation when I did my scheduling. So -technically- I’m two weeks ahead of where I thought I’d be!

Anyhow, I’ve got momentum on my side.

The jointer restore is coming along nicely. Parts are cleaning up in the electrolysis bath every day and night. I’m trying to keep it going 24/7 until I get all the parts washed up and made pretty. The infeed and out feed tables are done, and they look fantastic. I’ve got the last of the in feed table mounts in the bath today, and I’ve started masking off parts for paint. The mounting brackets have the first coat of paint brushed on them. I’m going to keep cleaning, masking, and painting as time permits. I -should- have the jointer back together about the time I’m done with the doors. (Perfect timing!) I’ll make a new rolling cabinet base for it and should have it all together by the end of September.

I’ve got a lot of small shop projects I need to do once I’m done spraying doors. I plan to do these while I’m doing trim work.

The garage looks so empty now! :-)
