Last night I picked up a gently used DeWalt Random Orbit sander, for about $35. These normally sell for $79.99, so I figured it was quite the steal. Considering it’s the same price I paid for my el-cheap-o Chicago Electric at Harbor Freight, and this one should out-last the other…

I’ll spare the details, but it was time to start looking for a good, solid replacement that will last and doesn’t use nylon sleeve bearings. I found one, at a price I liked. I’ll probably post a lot more on this topic on woodworkingcheap.com… which is slowly but surely growing in page hits per day.
