Projects, Projects, Projects…

It’s been a while since I posted anything here. Let’s see, what have I been up to lately?

Elizabeth is teething. She’s super-grumpy. The poor kid is in pain.

The guest room closet is still a disaster. I need to trim it, then make the storage cubby things. I plan on doing the trim (as much as possible) tonight. After eBeth goes to sleep, I’m afraid to use the nail gun. I know it freaked out the dog when I first got it… so I’m a bit worried about what she’ll think. Anyhow, my mom is coming over next week to help out around the house and with the child… So I’m on a timeline.

I’ve been doing a bit of coding in the evenings. It’s been nice. I’m working on a few things, that are rather… fun to do. Nimble (current working name of one of them) is really fantastically useful. Working on trying to figure out how to monetize it. Hey, I’m all for open-source, but there’s a time, place, and responsible way to make a buck or two. There’s a few other projects I’ve got on the burner as well, so it’s not like this is the only thing I do.

Oh, for those that may not know, Kylene is pregnant again. I hadn’t posted it here because we were trying to wait and tell the family in person. Now that all that’s done with, there it is. Now close your mouths. Yeah, we’ll have two about 14 months apart. We’re fine with the idea now, but I have to be honest, Kylene cried when the test was positive. Poor girl. We’re about 10 weeks in now, and she’s not -quite- as sick as she was last time, so maybe… just maybe it won’t be -as- bad. The last week has been a real trial. She’s been sick a lot, and it’s taxing her. Hence, my mom coming over to help out next week.

We are -so- looking forward to that! Elizabeth is at a really fun stage right now. Not crawling, but mobile (scoot and roll), and -very-, -very- alert and observant. She’s learned she can feed the dog. The dog has learned she can get food from Elizabeth. Suddenly the baby isn’t such a bad thing.
