Oye. Legs… Sore…
Today I slept in. Then I fell back asleep after feeding eBeth breakfast. That was a challenge. I was tired. She was tired. Mom was in the room moving. She was hungry… ugh.
Finally got up around 10:00… ate breakfast by 10:30… Headed out to the garage, finished cutting the 1/2″ thick MDF for the closet storage units I’m making. I bought two sheets of 1/2″ thick MDF, white screw caps, and adjustable shelf pegs. Enough material to make three (or more, depending on how big you make them) organizer thingies for $56. You can buy -one- of the organizers the size I’m making for $84. ONE. Yikes.
My time (so far about 2.5 hours) is worth the savings on this.
Stopped today after finishing all the cuts (length & dados for fixed shelves) and cleaned up the garage. Then I went for a ride on the bike.
Third day in a row I’ve been out — and I did >2 miles today! My endurance is slowly building up. Nearly killed me coming back home (up hill half way) but it was worth it. I wonder how this is tracking with the last time I started riding regularly… So far, it sounds about the same. If you go back before I slipped my disc while moving apartments, I should be able to do 6 or 7 miles in another week. The only problem with that line of thought, is that I’m not 23 anymore. I feel about the same, just… fatter.

Hey Bryan,
I’m inviting you to come do some bike riding where I’m living right now, on and around Mercer Island! It’s setup well for bicycles, and for anyone that likes hills. If you like flat, level ground… not so much :) The most level path in this area are the two segments of the bikepath on the I-90 bridge between Mercer Island and Bellevue, and between Mercer Island and Seattle. The bad news: it can be a real bear creeping up some of the hills: the good news: going down them you can do very high speeds just by coasting :P

I’m pretty sure that would kill me.
And if the biking didn’t, Kylene would. Thanks for the invite, but I don’t think we’ll be traveling any time soon… at least not out west.
