Shellacked!

The entire kitchen island has been shellacked. There’s a 2lb cut of garnet covering and sealing all the boiled linseed oil. Cutting hinge mortises by hand – challenging and fun.

Last night I cut the remaining hinge mortises (I took my time on those) and was able to hang the doors. The hinges work beautifully.
