Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) Subversion 1.6.9

In late November, 2009 I started using Ubuntu 9.10 on my work computers.

Recently (January 2010) I needed to merge a few subversion trees and I ran into a big, big problem.

The subversion 1.6.5 that ships with Ubuntu Karmic (9.10) Koala has a nasty little bug with handling replaces during tree merges. It can’t. That alone makes it pretty much unusable for me.

I have grabbed the latest stable source (1.6.9) and with some minor tweaks to the official Ubuntu subversion package for 1.6.5, I have packaged new, drop-in replacement packages for Subversion 1.6.9 on Ubuntu 9.10.

Download all the .debs linked below, then from a command-line run:

sudo dpkg -i *.deb
