Trash Can

The clearance between our bathroom sink cabinet and the toilet is ridiculously tight. In four years, we’ve been unable to find a commercially available trash can that will fit.

So I made a small bathroom trash can out of of ‘reclaimed’ wood… The red-oak used for this can were the frames on the kitchen cabinet doors when I moved in. So far, the only thing I’ve thrown away from those old cabinet doors were the panels. The rest of the wood has been (or is being) re-used.

This was one of the first projects I made a sketch-up drawing for before construction.

In case you’re wondering, yes this was inspired by Lincoln Logs.
